board inactivity

i kind of like it, TBH. some of the other spinoff boards of late are full of essentially nothing, shitting into the wind, and the relative silence here is a nice breath of fresh air.

it is kind of interesting to think that you can post things here for the whole world to see and only about 10 people ever will, like a crack in the wall on a busy street in NY, a little dark room that echos ever so slightly when you tape up a poster...

I'm actually surprised at the activity levels here.

Though I admit, I haven't glanced at the other spinoff boards in many days.

I've been part of some seriously dead boards before, basically discussing stuff with myself.

although. this year. while some messageboards have either thrived, or at least weathered the storm, i think messageboard culture, popularity-wise, is in decline. descending. failing. not being relevant anymore. i feel just as bad about this as i do about newspapers. et cetera...

however. this is my opinion. & i hope that i am wrong. maybe when the Cannibal Love moderator comes back from "double-dipping" on the blue board. perhaps. he can respond or offer his assessments & opinions...
