Can we get elaboration on features of these sites as well?
I use bandcamp, it does require an account (as do these forums).
Upload must be in .wav, but they will render that into an array of formats for download, which can be set to free.
If you want to make $ off your tracks you need it tied to a paypal business account, which unless you plan to make a LOT of money or have additional bank/paypal accounts is inadvisable since sending money for buying stuff also sees fees with a business account (when last I read their conditions).
My shit is up there for free..
You can look at stats etc, which is also nice.

seriously sometimes it takes an hour to upload tracks to bandcamp. i wonder what kind of hosting they have, to store all those .wavs and their derivatives!!!

I really like this feature of bandcamp, knowing where listeners are coming from is a good marketing tool. If you want to do that.
