there's a millipede infestation going on in my house right now. could it be
a) the rotting compost heap in my back yard
b) the insane amount of kudzu and kudzu death in my back yard
c) all the fucking rain this year

Re: millipedes
turns out it was the brush pile in FRONT of my house that was host to these weird little leggy things. cleared that out 2 days ago, and they're almost all gone.
Re: millipedes
Last house I lived in had an earwig infestation every year about thanksgiving the larval stage would hatch and billions of earwig babies would crawl up from under the house and begin invading the house should have taken pictures but I was truly mortified. The floor would be a black carpet of stinky young earwigs which do not have pincers but admit a horrible smell if you fuck with them. Oh and some of them fly and like moths they are drawn to light. Cant tell you how many I had in my ears over the years we lived there. But I can tell you they taste very peppery as I accidently ate a couple...Fuck

Re: millipedes
it was a rental so I couldnt really burn it down, but we did find a bunch of sevin which is the most deadly bug poison you can buy in the garage and my s.o. had to go under the house and poor it into the cracks where they were streaming out of...I hate using poison and we had to poison the perimeter on the outside unfortunely we lost some frogs every year from the poison. It really helped after several years. We used to think of it as an alien invasion. We talked about it in terms of us versus the Buggies and we were determined to win...Mother Fuckin' Earwigs

we never got rid of them...just controled the outbreak, I imagine they had been there as long as the house and that place was homesteaded in the late '20 's early '30's so when we moved out and found out our crappy old neighbors moved in we laughed our asses off, then found out they moved to the city soon there after...never really wondered why.
sure scum lord dude rented it to the mexicans that worked on the commerical chicken farms or the wine grapes. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Lodi+near+18385+Atkins+Road,+CA&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=24.236729,56.25&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=18385+Atkins+Rd,+Lodi,+San+Joaquin,+California+95240&ll=38.150336,-121.097424&spn=0.002928,0.006866&t=h&z=17
You may have to zoom out a bit.
here is a satalite map. You can see the chicken farm and the holding ponds where they flushed the shit, can't put it in the ground everyone has well water. So they hold it pump it and remove it smelled real good in the summer.
